Would you like to get in contact with other
Australian & New Zealand Toy Steam enthusiasts?

This forum was initially devoted to Model and Toy steam engine enthusiasts from “Downunder”, but now boasts hobbyist members from around the globe.
You'll find the members of this forum are very friendly, with different levels of knowledge from beginners to the more experienced.
Discussions include:
• New engine purchases or builds
• Recent restoration examples
• What is this engine/accessory I found in a junk sale/online
• Where can I find parts?*
• Hints and tips
• Help!!
• Social – Funnies and vaguely steam related subjects
New members are always very welcome and there is no such thing as a “silly” question.
Engine Parts:
The sad reality is that there are no commercial shops selling parts for Australian or New Zealand steam toys. However some of the enthusiasts on the forum have the skills to make replacement parts for you. (Incidentally… many of them only acquired these skills when they started tinkering with toy steam engines themselves!)
Some engine parts may require the use of a lathe to make. In this situation, if you've made the effort to become known on the forum, you'll easily find other forum members who will be happy to help you.
Repairs:
If you have a family heirloom engine gathering dust in the closet because it no longer works or has parts missing, some members may be able to restore it for you back to working condition. Again post a “please help” in the forum and someone may be able to help you.
